Snowboard Capita The Equalizer by Jess Kimura - 2024/25

Inspired by Jess Kimura’s transition from street to backcountry riding, the Equalizer was created to level the playing field in the mountains and offer female riders a top-tier all-mountain option designed specifically for women. The series now features an updated, specially designed hybrid camber profile RESORT V2, providing a positive camber along the entire length of the board for carving control, while the reverse camber in the nose and tail maximizes floatation in deep snow, making you a better snowboarder in varied terrain and conditions.

Riding the Equalizer delivers excellent ride feel and response thanks to the META CORE™, which provides the desired flexibility for all-mountain terrain, while TECHNORA™ + FLAX BOOSTERS in the construction maintain longitudinal stiffness. The board also features a very fast sintered base, QUANTUM DRIVE™, making the Equalizer one of the most technically advanced women's freeride boards on the market.

Capita uses the exceptionally lightweight P2 Superlight Core™ and adds stiffer, perfectly dampening beech wood inserts running through the inserts to increase durability and enhance pop.

ADDITIVES:

• 2 x 30 mm TECHNORA™ + FLAX BOOSTERS: Aramid fibers interwoven with flax that absorb impacts well, increasing power and response time.

Triax/Biax HOLYSHEET™ has a higher glass-to-weight ratio than standard fiberglass.

RESIN: MAGIC BEAN™ RESIN
Capita uses eco-friendly resin for all its boards, produced with zero waste and greenhouse gas emissions. This also ensures high performance with reduced heat requirements, meaning less energy is used in the snowboard production process. This allows the core to be lighter while maintaining the board’s properties. As a result, CAPiTA boards are among the lightest on the market!

BASE: QUANTUM DRIVE™ BASE
Stronger, tougher, faster! The Quantum Drive base is an enhanced sintered polyethylene with ultra-high molecular weight and density—akin to the Millennium Falcon among bases, it’s extremely durable and fast.

LAMINATE: PLT™
PLT™ technology is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the top layer with the already pressed snowboard. This is unique in the snowboard industry as most other companies apply graphic top layers using glue, heat, and pressure during the pressing stage, which causes the fiberglass structure underneath to show through. Since no one wants to spend their hard-earned money on an uneven snowboard, many companies additionally coat their boards with thick, toxic paint to smooth the surface. This not only adds weight and can lead to unsightly cracks but is also very harmful to the work environment. The PLT™ machine produces a feather-light, smooth, glossy finish without all that toxic ballast, resulting in a great-looking multi-layer laminate. The combination of matte, glossy elements, and gold lettering creates an amazing visual impact. In addition to the final printing of the ink onto the board, CAPiTA uses digital printing and traditional screen printing throughout the production process, ensuring layered graphics.

SIDECUT: BLENDED RADIAL - This advanced solution combines the benefits of classic edge designs with modern innovations, improving the overall riding characteristics of the snowboard. The design combines a classic straight radius in the middle of the board with unique blending zones at the contact points. The middle section provides stability and predictability while the blended sections are areas where the board’s edge smoothly transitions from one radius to another, allowing for better adaptation to different conditions and riding styles.
